Welcome

My name is Rachel! I am the artist behind Loeffler Art. What you see on this website is a culmination of my work over the past 7 years as an artist!  

 My experience as an artist includes as life long education in art. Starting from a young age, until my higher education at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I received my Bachelor of Science in art education in 2019. I am now a certified K-12 visual art educator in Chattanooga, TN. 

I teach young ones a breadth of the art world such as the elements and principles of art and design, art history, social-emotional learning, and careers in the arts. 

I use my day to day teaching to fuel and inspire my own art making! Art making is truly a way in which I see and interpret the world, and my end goal is to spread that to and with others! 

I am trained and experienced in painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, and some other multimedia work. Some of that even includes graphic design, but I still have a lot to learn in that area!

My favorite medium to work in is paint. I connect most with the fluidity and closeness of that material.

As you look at my work you may see that most of it contains every day subjects like people, animals, objects, and places! I love using the world around me to inspire my work, and it tends to have bold, thick, contrasting colors, textures, and forms within  its composition. However, I am always open to new styles and ideas, and am constantly influenced by other artists, designs, and styles of the world!
